With a Coronavirus Pandemic in full swing, we here at HauteLeMode want to look at one of fashion's most daring attempts at remaking the nurse's uniform, Marc Jacob's Louis Vuitton Spring 2008 collection. The show featured a slew of models dressed up as nurses in an attempt to recreate some of the artist Richard Prince's most iconic pieces, his "Nurses" paintings series. And there was a lot of background drama revolving around Marc Jacobs and his timeliness that set up a drama start from the beginning. We also discuss the history of nurse's uniforms, and why they have changed so much throughout history. We also get a look into the life of Louis Vuitton, the man who made the brand famous, and some of the histories of the brand's most iconic bags like the Speedy, Alma, and Papillion. We then break down the runway looks, as it was a 2000s experience, and finish off with some more drama involving Marc Jacobs and a fashion critic.
