They had met in person exactly once, for a few minutes, at a friend's wedding. Then they signed a lease together. He never moved in, but he kept paying his half anyway. When she lost her job, he covered her half too. Now he wants that money back. Ms. Drury says she never agreed to repay anything, and that he sent the money for his own reasons, to lower his bank balance so he could qualify for government assistance.
