Abstract — Where the Heart Belongs Where the Heart Belongs is a nostalgic drama that explores the importance of honoring culture, preserving identity, and remembering one’s roots. The story follows Sofia, a Grade 10 student who struggles with the news that her family will leave Cavite and move to London because of her father’s new job. As she prepares to leave, Sofia revisits familiar places and realizes how deeply her everyday experiences, relationships, and community have shaped her identity as a Caviteña. Her grandmother further comforts her by sharing an old photograph and a heartfelt letter from Sofia’s grandfather, reminding her that home is not defined by a place but carried within the heart. Ultimately, Sofia learns that no matter where life takes her, the culture, values, memories, and people she loves will remain an essential part of who she is.
