Abstract — Just a Meal Just a Meal is a short drama that explores how Filipino traditional food represents culture, identity, heritage, and family traditions. The story follows a group of students who initially view traditional food such as suman as old-fashioned and prefer modern or trendy food. Through their classroom discussion and group research, they discover that traditional dishes are passed down through generations and carry stories of family, community, and history. Their project changes their perspective as they learn that preserving traditional food helps keep Filipino culture alive for future generations. Ultimately, the story shows that traditional food is more than something to eat—it is a meaningful part of who Filipinos are and a heritage worth appreciating and preserving.
