Eugen Grüel (1847 - 1927): Orgelstück in d op. 25 No. 4

Grüel was a German organist and composer of the 19th century. He was born in Pömmelte on the Elbe river, Anhalt, and he died in Potsdam near Berlin. His main appointment as organist was at the Holy Ghost Church in Potsdam. Among his compositions, most of which are vocal works, are two collection of pieces for organ, one volume with chorale preludes and one with free organ pieces. This organ piece in d minor is the No. 4 from his collection "10 Orgelstücke" opus 25. It is marked "Ruhig" (calm). The piece is offered with one repetition. Instrument: Johannus Monarke "Breughel".
