Star Trek: The Next Frontier - The Unknown [FAN PRODUCTION]

Star Trek: The Next Frontier is a fan made YouTube series of films, following the adventures of our own original ship 'USS PINE' and it's crew. Project Synopsis: Join the crew of the USS Pine, Captained by William Nimoy, as they venture to new worlds and explore new sectors of space deemed too low tier for the likes of the Enterprise. 'THE UNKNOWN' - EPISODE SYNOPSIS: After disobeying the prime directive the crew of the USS Pine are sent on data collecting missions whilst Starfleet decide their future, but when they arrive at their destination, they are attacked by an unknown vessel forcing them to abandon to the 'dead' planet below. Stranded on an uncharted world and separated, the crew must find a way to come back together but, there seems to be more happening on the planet as they come across a seemingly telepathic species that do not exist. Message from the creator: So, as you'll tell this is low budget fan film and by rights that's all it's going to look and feel like but I hope people can see behind that and appreciate the effort, time and passion that's gone into this and the stories. At the end of the day we are cosplayer's and filmmakers who love to make a tell stories by utilising our cosplays in between charity events, so we have done what we can, we don't have access to big sets and masses of cast or production value, it's just for fun and hopefully people like it and support the channel and group and that perfectly leads into the next part. This series of films was supposed to be a one off movie where the crew got stranded on a planet to ease up on the VFX but, as we went with it, we realised we could utilize more images of ship backdrops and aliens and thought why not make a trilogy out of it. So, the concept has really expanded greatly from it's development. This is designed to be released as our little tribute for Star Trek's 60th anniversary and it's something I absolutely love and a franchise I will never not need or love. There's a lot of visual and audio nods to other Trek's and if you're wondering why it's Kelvin timeline, it's just freedom to tell stories away from 60 years of continuity. The trilogy is named 'The Tarkolion Trilogy' as it very much focuses on the alien species we have created, but, with the 4th film in development we are moving past that. The story will play out in a trilogy of films but also be as self contained as possible for people to enjoy without catching each one as it's not really fair to assume YOUTUBE is going to recommend to the same people who follow it weekly like TV, so we've done our best to experiment with VFX, upscaling and assets to help bring the universe to life as best as we can.
