Jim Crumley began his professional life as a journalist and became one of Scotland’s youngest ever editors. However his passion is the environment and he has written over 40 books covering Scotland’s natural world and it’s re-introduction of various species. His series on Scotland through the prism of it’s four seasons is a particularly popular quartet looking at his native land in all it’s various guises, though more recently he has done a bit of a detour to England with Lakelands.
