It’s a Beautiful Day For It || Potato Plantin’ Tradition || April 2026

Today we spent the day out in the big patch plantin’ potatoes as a family. It’s something we’ve always done, plantin’ more than we need so we’ve got plenty to put up and some to share with others. There’s just somethin’ about gettin’ your hands in the dirt together and knowin’ it’ll turn into food on the table before long. After we got the big patch in, we came back to the home garden and planted a row of red potatoes, my favorite for eatin’ as new potatoes. There ain’t much better than fresh dug taters cooked up that same day. We’re grateful for days like this and the chance to keep these traditions going.
