Nagin Wale Baba Dargah Karachi, exploring, Hidden Karachi Dargah In this episode, The Traveller Pak takes you into the rugged coastal hills of Karachi to explore some of the region’s most mysterious and ancient spiritual sites. From hidden shrines and centuries-old legends to an extraordinary 9-yard-long grave, this journey uncovers stories and traditions that have been passed down through generations. What We Explore: The Legend of Nagin Wale Baba We visit a local Dargah associated with the legend of a female cobra (Nagin) appearing as a spiritual sign. We speak with the caretakers to learn about the shrine’s history and the beliefs connected to it. The Mystery of the 9-Yard-Long Grave We discover an unusually long grave measuring approximately 9 yards (27 feet). Local tradition associates this grave with a Sahabi (companion of the Prophet ﷺ). This may be true, but we were unable to find reliable historical documentation or sufficient information to verify the claim. We also tried to learn more from local people, but very few were willing to discuss the matter. For this reason, we present this as a local oral tradition, not as a confirmed historical fact. 800-Year-Old Sheedi Bilal Dargah We visit this historic shrine, traditionally believed to be more than eight centuries old. The caretaker, Abdul Ghaffar, shares the story of the “Seven Brothers” and explains local traditions surrounding the shrine and its ancient artifacts. Hidden Heritage of Karachi Beyond the shrines, we explore the ancient graveyards, coastal landscape, and unique geography of this lesser-known part of Karachi.
