Nonstop to Oshkosh, in the Gulfstream G280

Flying to Oshkosh has always been one of my favorite trips, but this year was different. This was my longest flight ever, a nearly five-hour nonstop flight from Panama to Wisconsin in the Gulfstream G280. From a cold-and-dark startup and complete cockpit setup, to working weather after departure, climbing to FL450, and finally descending through heavy wildfire smoke into Appleton, this flight showcases what it's really like operating the G280 on a long cross-country mission.
