Heritage Galore | Steamrail, VGR, 707 Operations

On July 12th, 2025, The Victorian Goldfields Railway (The VGR) Operated two return services from Castlemaine to Maldon with locomotives J549 and T395, after the first trip J549 Developed issues with its Super Heater and T395 replaced it on the next service. Also on this day Steamrail Victoria operated a day trip to Castlemaine from Melbourne featuring Steam locomotive A2 986 and Diesel T356 after R761 (Which was originally planned to lead this trip) was unable operate on this day. The Night before 707 Operations operated "The Riverlander" from Melbourne to Deniliquin with Diesel Locomotives A66 and N467, then on the 12th it ran from Deniliquin to Rochester where it would stay the night before returning to Melbourne the next day.
