K160 Comes Home | Steamrail's Vintage Train to Maldon + K160 returns to the VGR

In this video Steamrail Victoria along with the Victorian Goldfields Railway are operating a special Vintage Train charter trip from Melbourne to Castlemaine then Castlemaine to Maldon and then a return trip to Melbourne. Making this trip special sees the return of K160 to the Victorian Goldfields Railway after a 14 year overhaul, also joining the trip is K183 making it's first ever visit to the VGR in preservation, trailing behind these locos it T364 assisting the train to Castlemaine before being dropped off going on loan to the VGR, later in the evening SRV's T395 whom has been on loan to the VGR since December 2024 is returning back to Newport. This trip would see Double header K's on the VGR which last happened in 2019 during Steamrail's Maldon Weekender.
