Today was a quiet, ordinary day during my stay here in the Philippines. I went grocery shopping at a very affordable store in the public wet market and spent ₱1,500 — around $26 or ¥4,140. It’s amazing how much food you can buy here compared to Japan. When I got home, I cooked one of the most comforting meals I know: Filipino sweet-style spaghetti. 🍝 Later in the day, a street vendor passed through the neighborhood, selling ice scramble, fishball, tofu, and kikiam — perfect for a simple merienda.
