Excellent Variety at Werrington Junction, ECML, 28/8/26

Hello everyone and welcome to a new trainspotting video. In this video you join me at one of the best locations on the ECML, Werrington Junction. This is one of my favourite locations on the ECML as the variety of traffic you see is superb. LNER with express services to and from Kings Cross to destinations such as Edinburgh, York, Leeds, Newcastle, etc. Grand Central with services to Sunderland and Bradford Interchange. Hull trains with services to..... Hull. Lumo to Edinburgh and sometimes further to Glasgow Queen Street. EMR with their Peterborough to Lincoln and Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street services and Cross Country with Stanstead Airport to Birmingham New Street. Plus the huge amount of freight that consists mostly of container traffic but aggregate and building material freight also pass. A really fabulous location. All of the freight you see in this video is only container traffic. There were supposed to be a few other freight trains that weren't containers however they all got cancelled. This video was filmed between 13:15 - 15:25 on Friday 28th August 2026.
