Scared of the Dark Song 🌙 The Dark Is Just the Dark | Big Tree Hill

For toddlers who are scared of the dark: Nana names every shadow, and a brave breath (in, two, three) turns the dark into just the dark. Your child learns: the dark is the same room with less light, a shadow is light plus a thing, and one brave breath (in, two, three; out, two, three) before looking. Good for: bedtime fears · the week the night light changes Words to say together: Dark · Light · Shadow · Safe For grown-ups: As night falls Peanut sees shapes everywhere. Nana names each one ('that's the swing, the same swing'), Stacks shows that light plus a thing makes a shadow, and Nimbo's brave breath (in, two, three; out, two, three; then look) is the strategy. At home, when your child is scared of the dark, name the thing together with a torch, breathe once slowly together, and only then turn the light down.
