Brother, I Got Your Back | Blues Rock | Roadhouse Stage & Southern Story | Mindbending Music

Get up, brother. You ain't gonna die. A narrow back alley on the wrong side of town, rain on the cobblestones, a single yellow streetlamp. A man lying in the gutter while people with umbrellas walk past. Every door he knocks on closes again. Then a rough hand reaches down: an old friend with a grey horseshoe mustache and a rusty red pickup, who doesn't ask a single question. Brother, I Got Your Back is the eighth chapter of the album The Strength of an Honest Man, the moment the energy comes back. A brotherhood that isn't built on blood but on loyalty. Four men digging a black pickup out of the mud at three in the morning. A friend already standing on the porch before anyone called. A round corner table in an old tavern under a green lamp, four glasses raised over the middle. And years later an empty chair with a cowboy hat on it, a sunrise over a small hillside cemetery and whiskey poured on fresh earth. A powerful 74 bpm barroom stomp with wailing harmonica, slide guitar, Hammond organ and gang vocals in the chorus, a raspy baritone with long howls and a low spoken bridge. A brother ain't the one who shares your name. It's the one who shares your weight. Raise your glass, brother.
