A Valley Full of Alberta’s Wild Horses | Peaceful Drone Film

There are days when the best thing to do is simply slow down and take it all in. On this day, multiple bands of Alberta’s wild horses were scattered throughout a beautiful mountain valley, quietly grazing beneath the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. From above, you really get a sense of just how vast their home is. The drone moves through the valley, from one band to another, capturing the horses simply going about their day. For the most part, it was a peaceful afternoon, although there were a couple of little moments tucked in along the way. Two stallions briefly rear up during a disagreement, and one of the valley’s foals decides it’s the perfect time for a case of the zoomies. The rest is simply horses grazing, families staying close, and the mountains stretching out around them. This is the first of a few videos from this day. In the next one, I’ll put the drone away and take you in for a closer, handheld look at each band. Twenty quiet minutes in their world. No rush. No big story to tell. Just wild horses being wild horses. My hope in sharing these horses is to help others see them as I do, because perhaps being seen, known and cared about is one of their greatest hopes for protection . Wild Horses. Wildflowers.
