Start this new day with gratitude. 🙏 Before asking God for anything, take a moment to recognize what He has already given you: another morning, another breath, another day of life. So many of God’s gifts become familiar that we stop noticing them. We wake up, begin our routine, and quickly think about what we need, what we want to change, or what we hope God will do. But this powerful morning prayer invites you to change the order: thank God first. The Bible reminds us in Lamentations 3 that the Lord’s mercies are new every morning and that great is His faithfulness. This new day is another opportunity to recognize those mercies—not only in extraordinary blessings, but in the simple gifts we often overlook. In this morning prayer, we will thank God for life, breath, our bodies, daily necessities, the people we love, ordinary moments, opportunities, difficult seasons we have overcome, mercies we noticed, mercies we never saw, our faith, and the precious gift of a new day.
