We thought our Yorke Peninsula trip couldn’t get any better…Then we hit Innes National Park. What did we find? Some of the BEST beaches and rock pools in Australia. Crystal clear water at Dolphin Bay, insane swims, beach and rock pool at Shell Beach and untouched beauty at Browns, just to name a few. But this place isn’t just beaches. We explored abandoned historic townships, stumbled across old shipwrecks, surfing beaches, and watched some beautiful sunsets. This region seriously has it all. …Until it didn’t. Because while everything looked perfect on the surface… we saw first-hand something disturbing impacting the entire South Australian coastline—the algae bloom that changed everything.
