Are supplements really necessary? 💊
@skindecoded-drdev
With so many vitamins, minerals and multivitamins available, it can be difficult to know what you actually need—and what may simply be unnecessary.
In this video, I break down some of the most commonly used supplements, including **multivitamins, vitamin B12, iron, vitamin D and omega-3**, and explain:
• What the recommended daily amount (RDA) actually means
• Whether you can get enough from food
• Food sources and approximately how much each contains
• Who may benefit from supplementation
• What the evidence says about their benefits and risks
• What you should consider during pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Why taking more isn't necessarily better
• When testing or medical advice may be appropriate
I have also explained the research findings.
