14 things go in my cart every month and never change. Every one of them is under five dollars, and every one of them will still be good on the shelf a year from now, two years, and one of them essentially forever. This is the list, counting down from fourteen: what each one costs, what size to buy, how long it really keeps, and how to store it so it gets there. In this video: ✓ The one jug that took three cleaning products off my list ✓ Why white rice keeps for years and brown rice does not ✓ The cheapest protein in the store that survives two years ✓ The freezer trick that turns flour from one year into several ✓ What the whole shelf costs in one trip, and what the same food costs bought small ✓ Number one is the only food in your kitchen that genuinely does not spoil An honest note: prices are about, for a normal week in most of the US. Yours will be different. Flour is the shortest keeper on this list and I say so plainly. Nobody pays me to recommend anything, and no store or brand is named on purpose. The homework: pick ONE thing you already buy in the small size, buy the big one this week, put it in a container with a lid, and work out what you paid per pound against what you were paying before. Just one. Do not buy all fourteen on Saturday. Tell me in the comments: which of these is already in your cupboard, and how long has it been there? And what do you buy in bulk that I left off the list? #pantrystaples #frugalliving #buyinbulk #savemoney #groceryhaul #foodstorage #budgetmeals #homemaking #carolineexplains
