Dolphin Morning - Paul Winter Consort

Dolphin Morning Paul Winter, Paul Halley (Living Earth Music, BMI; Back Alley Music, ASCAP) Bottlenose Dolphin recording courtesy of Dr. John Lilly and the Human Dolphin Foundation. This is our honoring song to dolphins, these remarkable aquatic mammals who have long been regarded as humans' best friend in the oceans. In Baja California, I saw dolphins in pairs of threes, pin-wheeling gracefully through the water in perfect unison, and I imagined music that would evoke the elegance and beauty of these noble creatures. The call of a Bottlenose Dolphin, which we've slowed down to one-quarter of its normal frequency, gave us the seed theme that you will hear at the end of this piece.
