20th Maine Moved to Cemetery Ridge - Gettysburg scene

It's the morning of July 3, 1863... The 20th Maine, having repulsed multiple assaults on Little Round Top the previous day, is redeployed along the Federal defensive lines. Since the film's premier in November 1993, I've had the opportunity to see the movie in theatres more than a few times, with audiences spanning more than three decades. Although no one would ever assert the movie is a comedy, it does have its moments of comic relief. This scene, featuring Jeff Daniels as Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain and Billy Campbell as First Lieutenant Andrew Lewis Pitzer of the 44th New York Infantry always, in every single screening, gets the biggest laugh of the movie. "Gettysburg' in its theatrical version or the Director's Cut is available in DVD/Blu-Ray or instant streaming at Amazon Prime.
