The Untold Stories of God’s Generals | Episode 30 with Roberts Liardon

What can the lives of Christianity’s greatest revivalists teach us about miracles, failure, second chance and finishing well? Daniel Kolenda sits down with author and revival historian Roberts Liardon, creator of the bestselling God’s Generals series, to uncover remarkable stories from some of the most influential ministers of the last century. Roberts shares how, at just 12 years old, an encounter with Jesus launched him on a lifelong mission to study the lives of great Christian leaders, learning not only why they succeeded, but also where some of them went wrong. The conversation goes especially deep into the life of Kathryn Kuhlman. Roberts recounts attending her services as a child and witnessing extraordinary scenes of healing, including people rising from wheelchairs. He also shares rarely heard stories surrounding Kuhlman’s final service, her last days in the hospital, her decision that she was ready to go home to heaven, and the powerful second-chance story behind the ministry for which she later became famous. Daniel and Roberts also explore the incredible life of Aimee Semple McPherson, including her massive evangelistic ministry, healing meetings, media innovation, exhaustion, and the lessons future generations can learn from her life. According to Roberts, some of the greatest failures in ministry did not begin with a deliberate decision to destroy everything. They began with exhaustion like physical, mental, and spiritual fatigue that weakened judgment and allowed things into a leader’s life they would normally never tolerate. Whether you’re a pastor, evangelist, ministry leader, or simply fascinated by revival history, this conversation contains decades of hard-earned wisdom about staying humble, protecting your private life, learning from failure, and finishing what God has called you to do. **10% discount** in our store using the coupon code: DANIEL10 CfaN Store: https://shopus.cfan.org Furious Book: https://cfan.org/furious Monthly Ministry Partner: https://cfan.org Ministry Training: https://cfan.org/training #DanielKolenda #RobertsLiardon #GodsGenerals #KathrynKuhlman #AimeeSempleMcPherson #Revival #RevivalHistory #ChristianPodcast #ChristianLeadership #Ministry #HolySpirit #Healing #Miracles #Evangelism #ChurchHistory #ChristianHistory #Leadership #Pastors #ChristForAllNations #CfaN 00:00 – COMING UP 01:02 – How God’s Generals Changed a Generation 05:06 – Jesus Appears to Roberts at 12 Years Old 09:06 – Preserving Revival History Before It Disappeared 12:00 – The Greatest Minister Roberts Ever Saw 16:33 – Kathryn Kuhlman’s Extraordinary Miracle Meetings 18:17 – Kathryn Kuhlman’s Final Service 23:24 – Kathryn’s Final Days 33:28 – “When I See Jesus, I’ll Tell Him I Tried” 37:00 – Kathryn Kuhlman’s Second Chance 42:37 – Why Kathryn Said, “I Die a Thousand Deaths” 47:33 – Staying Humble When Everyone Knows Your Name 51:05 – Aimee Semple McPherson & Daniel’s Family Story 55:18 – Stretcher Days, Ambulance Days & Miracles 59:18 – The Tragic Warning From Aimee’s Death 1:01:57 – Peter Cartwright: The Pistol-Toting Preacher 1:07:45 – What All Great “Generals” Had in Common 1:09:41 – The Hidden Danger of Exhaustion 1:12:26 – Three Types of Rest Every Leader Needs 1:15:53 – Why Successful People Struggle to Slow Down 1:17:43 – The Seeds of Failure Begin During Success 1:20:02 – Final Wisdom for the Next Generation Subscribe to CfaN to receive our latest messages: Email: https://cfan.org/subscribe SMS: Text CFAN to 94090 To support this ministry and help us continue to reach people all around the world click here: https://cfan.org/donate Evangelist Daniel Kolenda YouTube:    / ⁨@danielkolenda⁩   Evangelist Daniel Kolenda Facebook:   / evangelistkolenda   Evangelist Daniel Kolenda Instagram:   / evangelistdanielkolenda
