Blessed Are Those Who Mourn | What Jesus Really Means — Matthew 5:4

What does Jesus mean when He says, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted”? In Matthew 5:4, Jesus isn’t simply saying that sad people will feel better. Coming immediately after “Blessed are the poor in spirit,” this mourning begins when we finally see our spiritual condition honestly—and what we see grieves us.
