Not Every Bird Builds a Nest l Nature Moments ft. Baya Weaver & Asian Koel

While the Baya Weaver spends days weaving intricate homes to attract a mate and raise its young, the Asian Koel follows a completely different strategy. It never builds a nest of its own. Instead, the female Koel quietly lays her egg in the nest of a House Crow, leaving the unsuspecting foster parents to incubate the eggs and raise the chick. This remarkable breeding strategy is known as brood parasitism: one of nature's most fascinating adaptations. In this episode of Nature Moments, we explore two completely different approaches to parenthood. One bird builds. The other borrows. Yet both have evolved successful ways to ensure the survival of the next generation. 📍Location: Manikonda, Hyderabad, Telangana, India No narration. No music. Just nature.
