X and Y for Kids: Find the Treasure with Coordinates

How does a game know exactly where the treasure is? With two numbers: x and y! In this Code Quest Kids episode, Bit the robot hides a star on a treasure map and learns to find places with x and y: x goes across, y goes up, and the first number is always x. Bit mixes them up once, then learns "along the corridor, then up the stairs". We explore the Scratch stage, where the middle is 0, 0 and minus means left or down, glide Bit to a star in Scratch, move Python's turtle, and take a quick quiz.
