This September 2026 Post KC Cup Banlist is awful..... YuGiOh Duel Links!

For anyone new to my channel, I am Crimson Reaper 5, the community's most well known Altergeist main and this channel is dedicated to everything Duel Links and Altergeist related. If you have any questions about the deck, feel free to ask and I'll answer. I've been playing Altergeists since 2017 when they first came out in the Circuit Break booster pack so I have 9 years experience on the deck (as of 2026) and counting! Altergeist is truly a fun deck and I look forward to teaching new viewers how the deck works, how to play it, what the optimal combos are, and how to climb with Altergeists. In this video, we are taking a look at the banlist and Skill rebalancing for the September 2026 format. During this format, Branded Bystial, Snake-Eye, Vaalmonica, Destiny HERO, and a bit of Mathmech were the main threats, so those deck should be looked at. However, this banlist was a complete and utter waste. It didn't really do much of anything other than a few FTK hits, a slap on the wrist for a few decks, and call it a day. At least Asaka Mutsuba's FIRE Wyrm Excavators are made worse though so curb the Rush Duel format out of tier zero status. Meh. There's not much else to say about this banlist. The metagame is pretty much more or less the same. Vaalmonica is still on top, Destiny HERO is untouched, and Branded is made worse. And as always, enjoy the video and don't forget to subscribe and follow on Twitch! Sword & Shield (1) 2. Siesta Torero (3) 3. Thunder Gazelle (3) 4. Galactica Xiphos (3) SKILL REBALANCING (SPEED DUEL): 1. The Eye of the United Dragon → Now has an anti-burn clause on it to where if you go first, during that turn only, your opponent takes no effect damage from your card effects. Essentially, you cannot deal burn damage anymore if you go first on Dark Magician decks, but after that, burn damage is allowed so as to not completely curb you off of Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon burn. 2. Hero's Awakening → The Adventure Skill got an anti-burn clause on it to where any effect damage your cards inflict to your opponent becomes zero. SKILL REBALANCING (RUSH DUEL): 1. Activated Wyrm of Black Metal → This is the Asaka Mutsuba FIRE Wyrm Excavator Skill. This Skill got a nerf to where now the only monsters you can Skill-search must be level 8 or have exactly 400 Defense instead of 400 or less Defense. This means that you can no longer Skill-search Infinite Heavy Cavalry Buildragoon as well as the Wyrm Excavator the Heavy Cavalry Draco Maximum pieces. This nerf will slow down Asaka's ability to overwhelm you with the Maximum monster and also curb her from easily going into Explosive Destructor Wyrm Dangerous Bakhamut off of Buildragoon.
