Welcome to Episode 17 of my 30 Days Adventure Across Swat. For the past almost ten days, we have been exploring some of the most beautiful and lesser-known places around Utror Valley. And with today’s journey, it was time to say goodbye to Utror and move toward our next destination. In Episode 16, I showed you the breathtaking beauty of Maidan Banda. After returning from Maidan Banda, we reached Heaven Valley Hotel again and spent the night with Ibrahim Bhai. Early the next morning, we packed our gear, had breakfast and tea, prepared the motorcycle, and said goodbye to Ibrahim Bhai before leaving for Utror Bazaar. At Utror Bazaar, I bought some fruits and a few essential things for the journey. After that, I started my ride toward Dasht-e-Laila. A few kilometers later, we reached the trail leading toward Dasht-e-Laila, where a tough climb was waiting for us. After crossing the difficult section, we reached an open meadow with a few small hotels and roadside dhaba-style places. From there, the journey became even more challenging. Steep climbs, sharp turns and rough off-road tracks made the ride difficult. At some points, I had to push the motorcycle, while at other places I had to hold the handle and slowly make my way uphill. Eventually, we reached a beautiful viewpoint where Dasht-e-Laila finally came into view for the first time. From this spot, we could also see Utror Valley below us. However, it was a very windy pass, with strong winds making it difficult to stand there for long. After spending some time at the viewpoint, we continued toward Dasht-e-Laila. Riding alongside the beautiful Badgoi Valley, we passed through lush green meadows, stunning mountain landscapes and beautiful scenes of sheep moving across the hills. Along the way, we reached a place locally known as Kalay Pathar. Here, the trail splits into two directions. One route continues toward Badgoi Top and Kumrat, while the other leads toward Dasht-e-Laila. After a short descent and another gentle climb, we finally reached Dasht-e-Laila. And honestly… Dasht-e-Laila truly feels like paradise! The wide green meadows, surrounding mountains, peaceful atmosphere and endless views make this place incredibly special. From one side of Dasht-e-Laila, you can see Azmas Banda, Dashte jannat and Azmas Lake. After a short trek nearby, you can also see the beautiful Dasht-e-Jannat. On the other side, the backside of Jaz Banda and the spectacular landscapes of Bardogai are visible. The weather was also changing quickly. Strong winds and thick clouds continued to surround us. We spent around two to three hours at Dasht-e-Laila, but eventually the clouds became darker and rain started. With the weather turning rough, we decided to end this episode here. There is still much more to explore on this journey, and in the next episode, I’ll take you to more beautiful and lesser-known places. Until then, keep watching Walks With Sami, as I continue exploring the remote valleys, hidden meadows and breathtaking landscapes of Pakistan.
