Amtrak and Coal Train Meet Near Parked Rail Grinder

The eastbound "California Zephyr" can be heard coming into Agency, Iowa just before a westbound BNSF coal train east of town whistles off as it starts moving again on November 1, 2018. The coal train had been waiting behind another train that stopped so Amtrak #6 could finish its station work before it proceeded through Ottumwa. #6's engineer plays "Shave and a Haircut" as they come by. Before the "Zephyr" meets the coal train, it passes a rail grinder that's on the fertilizer plant siding. The crews of both trains are heard talking to each other as their trains pass. At 2:38, a defect detector gives a report for #6 and the coal train. This empty has a former Burlington Northern MAC in their executive green and cream scheme as its second unit. That's not the only piece of the BN on the train as there's an old BN hopper car at 6:35. This unit freight train also happens to have two distributed power units on the end.
