Feeling stuck doesn’t always mean you’re doing something wrong — sometimes it means you’re right in the middle of becoming who you’re trying to be. In this video, I reflect on Mark Manson’s four stages of life — the Copycat, Explorer, Martyr, and Mortal — and connect them to experiences from my own life. We’ll talk about why progress can still feel frustrating, why the middle of the journey is often the hardest part, and why you may be moving forward even when it doesn’t feel like it.
The beginning of any journey is exciting because everything is new, and the finish line gives you motivation because you can finally see what you’ve been working toward. But somewhere in between, that excitement disappears and the work becomes repetitive.
That’s where a lot of us start asking: “Why do I still feel stuck when I’m doing everything right?”
I share my perspective on moving through different stages of life, how our standards change as we grow, why we sometimes stop recognizing our own progress, and why constantly looking toward the next goal can make us forget how far we’ve already come.
This video was inspired by Mark Manson’s “Why You Feel Stuck in Life” and his framework of the four stages of life. I wanted to take those ideas and reflect on them through my own experiences, including the stages I believe I’ve already gone through and the one I feel like I’m living through today.
Sometimes you're not stuck.
You're just in the middle.
