The Jeremiah Fears Breakout Is Coming | Why His Rookie Season Finish Has Pelicans Fans Excited

Jeremiah Fears' rookie season wasn't pretty from start to finish. But the way it ended? That's the part worth paying attention to. The New Orleans Pelicans guard had the kind of inconsistent first year that is honestly pretty normal for a young guard adjusting to the speed, physicality, and complexity of the NBA for the first time. There were stretches where the questions about his game felt legitimate. There were nights where the adjustment looked hard. And there were moments where you wondered if the transition was going to take longer than expected. And then something clicked. The final stretch of Jeremiah Fears' rookie season was a completely different story — and in this video we break down exactly what changed, what it means for his development heading into year two, and why the New Orleans Pelicans have a legitimate young building block on their hands if that version of Fears shows up consistently next season. In this breakdown we go deep on everything Fears showed us during his rookie year hot streak — the offensive tools that came alive, the decision making that sharpened, the moments where you saw the player he's going to become at full speed. We also get into what the Pelicans need from him in year two, how he fits into New Orleans' long term plans, and why his ceiling is higher than his rookie season box score suggests. The Jeremiah Fears breakout isn't a question of if. It's a question of when. And everything we saw at the end of his rookie year says when is coming sooner than most people think. 🔔 Subscribe for weekly NBA player development and young player breakdown content 👍 Like if you're a Pelicans fan who believes in Jeremiah Fears 💬 How big of a year two leap do you think Jeremiah Fears can make?
