YouTube Description Two CW2s recently asked me to review their marketplace packets. Different warrant officers, different backgrounds, but both had the same problem: They gave the hiring organization plenty of information about their careers, but not enough reason to want the next conversation. That is the problem with treating your marketplace packet like a complete career file. Your STP, resume, OERs, and baseball card all matter, but they should not simply repeat the same information. The standard I use is simple: Your record verifies. Your packet differentiates. Your interview explains. In this episode of Maintenance University, I break down how warrant officers should think about their marketplace packet, including: • What your baseball card should actually communicate • Why your strongest accomplishments cannot be buried • The difference between listing assignments and showing impact • Why “hard worker” and “problem solver” mean nothing without proof • How to use your OERs as interview ammunition • What hiring leaders are trying to understand beyond your MOS • How to show professional identity without turning the packet into a biography • The 60-second test you should run before sending your packet • Why your packet’s real mission is to *earn the call* The marketplace is not the time to hope someone discovers what you bring to the organization. Know your value. Show the evidence. Give them a reason to have the conversation. Question for you: If someone looked at your marketplace packet for 60 seconds, what would they remember about you? #MaintenanceUniversity #WarrantOfficer #ArmyMarketplace #ArmyLeadership #WarrantOfficerDevelopment #ArmyCareer #CareerDevelopment #ArmyMaintenance www.linkedin.com/in/jamesleemarin
