Urvashi is a loving and responsible daughter-in-law who lives with her husband Sohan, her mother-in-law Shakuntala, father-in-law Nitesh, and sister-in-law Ragini. She is especially famous in the family for her delicious rajma rice, which everyone loves. Saloni, on the other hand, comes from a poor background and lives with her hardworking father Manoj after losing her mother. Saloni is simple, hardworking, and an excellent cook, especially known for her spicy and flavorful Bihari-style aloo chokha. One day, both women prepare food for their loved ones. Urvashi makes rajma rice for her husband Sohan, while Saloni prepares spicy aloo chokha and soft rotis for her father. While carrying their tiffins, the two women accidentally bump into each other, fall down, and unknowingly exchange their food containers. Neither woman realizes what has happened until they reach their destinations. When Urvashi opens her tiffin, she is shocked to find aloo chokha instead of her rajma rice, while Saloni discovers rajma rice in place of her homemade chokha. After figuring out that they must have exchanged their tiffins during the accident, both decide to eat the food anyway. Surprisingly, Sohan absolutely loves Saloni’s spicy aloo chokha, while Saloni and her father enjoy Urvashi’s rajma rice. The unexpected food exchange becomes the beginning of a beautiful friendship. The next day, both women meet again at a crossroads and return each other’s tiffins. During their conversation, Urvashi learns about Saloni’s difficult childhood, her mother’s death, and her simple life with her father. Impressed by Saloni’s nature, responsibility, and cooking skills, Urvashi realizes that Saloni would be an ideal match for her brother-in-law Gautam. When Shakuntala later talks about finding a suitable bride for Gautam, Urvashi recommends Saloni, praising not only her cooking but also her values and character. The family agrees, the marriage is arranged, and soon Saloni enters Urvashi’s family as Gautam’s wife. Instead of becoming jealous or competitive, Urvashi immediately treats Saloni like a younger sister. On the morning after the wedding, Saloni struggles with makeup because she has never used expensive cosmetics before. Urvashi lovingly helps her get ready, showing that she genuinely wants her new sister-in-law to feel comfortable and beautiful. During Saloni’s first cooking ceremony, the family discovers that the house has only rice, potatoes, rajma, and some milk available. Saloni worries that she cannot prepare the traditional feast expected from a new bride, but Urvashi encourages her and suggests making her famous spicy aloo chokha while she prepares rajma rice. Although the combination seems unusual at first, the family soon discovers that rajma rice with spicy aloo chokha tastes absolutely delicious. Shakuntala proudly praises both daughters-in-law, saying that each has a unique cooking style, but together their flavors create something even more special. Even the neighborhood women enjoy the food and bless Saloni with a gift, making her first cooking ceremony a success.
