TRIAL RUN: ➕TRUST GOD➕

❤️From the Writer’s Heart❤️ “Trial Run” is a very personal song to me because it puts the rubber where it meets the road. There comes a point in every believer’s life when we have to stop saying, “Lord, I’ll try this and see how it works,” and start saying, “Lord, I trust You, even when I don't understand.” We can treat so many things in life like a trial run. We try a new road. We make a new plan. We step through a new door. And sometimes, without even realizing it, we do the same thing with Jesus. We give Him a place in our lives, but somewhere deep inside, we are still keeping control of the steering wheel. But Jesus doesn't want to be tested. He wants to be trusted. There will be doors God closes that we don't understand. There will be prayers that seem unanswered and roads we desperately wanted to travel that He will not allow us to take. In those moments, faith isn't saying, “I'll follow You if everything goes according to my plan.” Faith says, “Father, You created me. You know me. You love me. If You closed this door, I will trust that You know what is waiting on the other side.” Sometimes the greatest blessing in our lives is found behind the door we never wanted opened—or on the road we never planned to take. “Trial Run” is a reminder that Jesus isn't looking for a temporary commitment. He is asking for our whole heart, our whole life, and our complete trust. We don't need to know every mile of the road when we know the One who is leading us. So the question isn't, “Will I give Jesus a try?” The question is, “Will I trust Him completely?”
