KELVIN GROVE PARKRUN | COURSE GUIDE 🏃 Welcome to Kelvin Grove parkrun! In this video, I take you around Kelvin Grove parkrun and cover everything you need to know before visiting, including the course layout, facilities, attendance, course records, parking and public transport. Kelvin Grove parkrun is held at Bishop Street Park in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane. The 5km course is run entirely on concrete paths along the Enoggera Creek Bikeway. 📍 Course Information • Location: Bishop Street Park, Kelvin Grove QLD • Distance: 5km • Start Time: Saturday 7:00am • Course Type: Two out-and-back sections • Surface: 100% concrete paths • Flat course • Dog friendly • Pram / buggy friendly The course starts and finishes near Bishop Street and follows the Enoggera Creek Bikeway. Rather than one simple out-and-back, the course consists of two separate out-and-back sections, giving you two turnaround points during the 5K. With a flat profile and fully surfaced concrete paths, this is a very fast course with strong PB potential. It’s easy to settle into a rhythm, and if conditions are good, Kelvin Grove is definitely a course worth considering for a quick 5K. 📊 Event Facts • Average attendance: 289 runners & walkers • Around 17 volunteers each week • Bike path and grassed areas nearby • Garden seating and rotundas • No toilets at the start/finish • No water fountain at the event • No nearby toilet facilities listed 🏆 Course Records • Men’s Record: 14:56 – Jack Salcedo • Women’s Record: 17:21 – Camille O’Donoghue ☕ Post-parkrun Coffee The Kelvin Grove parkrun community heads to a local café after the event for a post-parkrun coffee. 🚆 Getting There The nearest train stations are Newmarket and Wilston. Bus routes servicing the area include: • 345 • 350 • 359 • 360 • 390 If you're walking from Kelvin Grove Road, head down Bishop Street and continue onto the Enoggera Creek bikeway. The start/finish is around 200 metres along the path. 🚗 Parking Street parking is available around Bishop Street and across the creek around Finsbury Street. 🌳 Why Visit Kelvin Grove? • Very fast course with strong PB potential • Flat profile • Fully paved concrete surface • Two out-and-back sections • Long stretches where you can settle into pace • Runs alongside Enoggera Creek • Medium-sized weekly field • Close to inner Brisbane • Dog and pram friendly • Great option for parkrun tourists exploring Brisbane ⚠️ One thing to know before you go: there are no toilets or water facilities at the start/finish, so plan ahead before arriving. 🏃 My Run I visited Kelvin Grove parkrun on 12 September 2026, finishing in 23:27. This one was a very steady effort rather than a race, using parkrun as a shakeout before Bridge to Brisbane tomorrow. The goal was simply to keep the legs moving, stay controlled and save everything for race day. A nice relaxed 5K, another Brisbane parkrun ticked off, and now onto Bridge to Brisbane!
