This Tiny Art Challenge Changed My Life ✧ Inktober in Watercolor

I really recommend everyone to try an art challenge at least once. It can completely change the way you create. In this video, I share my experience with Inktober and how a 31-day art challenge can help you build a creative routine, improve your watercolor painting, and make daily practice feel much more manageable. You’ll also find some simple tips that helped me stay consistent, track my progress, and enjoy creating one tiny watercolor at a time. After completing Inktober three times, I’ve learned that the biggest change doesn’t come from one perfect painting. It comes from showing up regularly and letting all those small painting sessions add up over time. For me, this challenge became a way to practice watercolor more consistently and slowly develop more of my own style. And the tiny format makes it easier to experiment, discover new techniques, make mistakes, and keep going without putting too much pressure on every piece. You can do any challenge that inspires you! The goal is simply to create more often, enjoy the process, and see your progress little by little. Tips list for art challenge - these tips may help you get started: Keep your setup simple: use just a few materials so you can start painting without spending too much time deciding what to use Limit your color choices: a small palette, or even just one color, can make painting feel much easier and less overwhelming Keep your paintings tiny: small paintings feel more manageable and don’t need to take hours to finish Make painting part of your routine: choose a time of day that works for you and turn it into a little creative ritual you can look forward to Choose a format you actually enjoy: paint on individual cards, use your favorite sketchbook, or divide one large sheet into small sections like me Make your progress visible: seeing your collection grow can be really motivating, especially toward the end of the challenge Follow the prompts loosely: treat each word as a starting point. Let it inspire a subject, place, feeling, story, or completely different idea Give yourself permission to miss a day: skip a prompt, combine two prompts, or catch up later. You don’t have to complete the challenge perfectly Focus on consistency, not perfection: the goal is to keep creating, experiment, make mistakes, and enjoy the process one tiny painting at a time ...........................................................................................
