Rain at last!

After Another hottest day so far this summer, topping out at 40° Celcius, this line came through and made everything better again. The first proper rain we've had since Christmas. Features to look for; 0:30 - Mammatus clouds forming 1:00 - Hole Punch Cloud, I think that's the thermal generated by the heat off Amberley RAAF base, which is in that general direction 1:10 - Shelves start to line up and consolidate. Four and a half..ish at the beginning, two big ones at the end 1:20 - Corellas start heading for shelter. Little white dots racing across the crest of the gust front! 1:24 - Here it comes! 1:36 - Underside view of the washing machine! 2:00 - The rain finally gets here, the temperature drops ten degrees Celcius in as many minutes, and you can hear the very landscape heave a sigh of great relief and open up for a great big drink of water... 4:38 - Lightning bolt and...Petrichor...
