Railtour Empty Stock + Level Crossing Issues - Spondon 15th Jan 2023

First upload of 2023 and this was just a quick hour or so at Spondon. Never been here before, so a nice hour or so to capture a few things. Whilst waiting for the empty charter to stock, we noticed that trains were passing through the crossing and associated Signals at Danger (in both directions). This was due to issues with the Level Crossing at Spondon. Not long after we arrived, Network Rail arrived on the scene and resolved the issue. Normal running resumed shortly after they arrived. The main reason for this video however, was to capture two empty coaching stock moves, that were on railtours the day before. All of them were great to see, but my personal highlight was the Class 56 Tour Empties. This will likely be their last run with Passenger Stock (before being converted into Class 69's), so one not to miss! More info on the Empty Charter Stock below: After pausing for a Red Signal, 50008 puts down the power, with the 5Z57 1358 Chaddesden Sdgs to Gascoigne Wood Sidings. This was the empties from the Shooters Swansong Railtour. Just over an hour later, 56081 and 56098 pass through, with the 5Z61 1216 Wembley Receptions 1-7 to Burton Ot Wetmore Sidings. This was the empties from the Class 56 Farewell Tour. Sunday 15th January 2023.
