Three years ago I read The Ideal Muslim and the introduction laid out two extremes I keep seeing.
One Muslim is winning in the dunya. Good job, growing business, constantly climbing. But he has no idea what the deen actually is, and he treats Islam as outdated, fit for the masjid and nothing else.
The other one you see in the masjid every day, reading Quran. Then he walks out and cheats people in business and is rude to the ones around him.
Both of them made the same mistake. They saw pieces of Islam instead of the whole picture.
This video is about Muslim Maxing. Go and get good at every field instead of maxing one and neglecting the rest. In order: your relationship with Allah first, then your work, your family, your body, and your self development. The deen stays the highest priority, and that is exactly why nothing else gets left to rot.
CORRECTION
At 3:56 I quoted the dua as "Allahumma barik li ummati fi bukurina." The correct wording is:
اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِأُمَّتِي فِي بُكُورِهَا
"Allahumma barik li ummati fi bukuriha"
"O Allah, bless my Ummah in its early mornings."
