Social Housing Boat in Ibiza | An Alternative Approach to Affordable Housing

What if unused boats could become part of the solution to Ibiza’s housing problem? In this video, Hans van de Rakt explains the Social Housing Boat project in Ibiza, an initiative exploring an alternative approach to the island’s shortage of affordable housing. The project looks at how unused or underused boats could provide housing for people who live and work in Ibiza, while making better use of existing resources. The Social Housing Boat is part of Hans van de Rakt’s wider work exploring quality of life, housing, community and more human ways of living.
