7 Narrowboats Under £30,000 Worth Looking At in 2026

7 Narrowboats Under £30,000 Worth Looking At in 2026 Is £30,000 enough to buy a narrowboat in the UK, and what do you actually get for it? In this video we count down seven real narrowboats advertised on Apollo Duck for under £30,000. They range from a renovated 45ft Black Prince with a known base-plate issue to a 70ft boat at just £12,000, a well-equipped project in Ely, and a 48ft cruiser stern just under budget. For each boat we look at what the money buys, what makes it appealing, and the questions you'd need answered before making an offer: surveys, blacking, engine condition, certification and the details missing from the advert. The countdown order is for presentation only and isn't a ranking of quality.
