“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory.” — Isaiah 6:3
We love a God who forgives, blesses, and accepts us. But are we willing to embrace a God who exposes our sin and calls us to change?
In Isaiah 6:1–8, Isaiah encountered the holiness of God, and that encounter changed how he saw God, himself, and his purpose.
1. CONVICTION (Exposes Our Sinfulness)
When Isaiah saw the holiness of God, he recognized his own sinfulness. The closer we come to God, the harder it becomes to boast about our own righteousness or look down on others. His holiness reveals our true condition and our need for His grace.
2. PURIFICATION (Receive God’s Cleansing)
Isaiah couldn’t cleanse himself, but God provided the cleansing he needed. God doesn’t expose our sins just to shame or condemn us. Through His grace, He offers forgiveness and cleansing. True repentance is more than admitting our mistakes—it means allowing God to transform the way we live.
3. SUBMISSION (Respond to God’s Calling)
After Isaiah was cleansed, he responded to God’s call: “Here am I. Send me!” A genuine encounter with God doesn’t end with forgiveness; it leads to surrender and obedience. We respond to His grace by making ourselves available for His purpose.
God’s holiness exposes our sin, but His grace offers cleansing and a new purpose.
Don’t settle for a God shaped by your preferences. Encounter Him as He truly is—and let His holiness transform your life.
