Why am I so tired in midlife—even when my labs are normal? If you're exhausted, foggy, overwhelmed or simply don't feel like yourself anymore, menopause may be part of the picture. But what happens when it doesn't explain everything you're experiencing? Karen and Lisa sit down with functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner and HTMA practitioner Dori Martin for a candid conversation about **midlife burnout, menopause, chronic stress, brain fog, energy and mineral balance**. We talk about what happens after decades of carrying the mental and emotional load—work, children, aging parents, relationships, caregiving and all those invisible responsibilities women somehow keep track of. And we ask some of the questions women over 40 are searching for answers to: • Why am I exhausted during menopause? • Can chronic stress make midlife symptoms feel worse? • Why do I still feel terrible when my labs are “normal”? • What does burnout look like in women over 40? • What role might nutrition and mineral balance play in how we feel? • Why is it so difficult for women in midlife to actually rest? Dori also shares her own experience with burnout and discusses how her work with hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) informs the way she approaches energy, stress and wellness with clients. But one of our biggest takeaways isn't another thing to add to the midlife to-do list. It's this: *What if the answer isn't pushing harder—but finally paying attention to how depleted we've become?* If you've spent years taking care of everybody else and suddenly realized there's not much left for you, pull up a chair. This conversation is for you.
