Spearfishing Cape Town | Kalk Bay

My first ever spearfishing video! I've been spearing for just over a year now, and I finally decided to start documenting my dives. This channel is all about sharing my experiences underwater, the fish I encounter, my thought process on each dive, and hopefully improving with every trip. This dive took us to Kalk Bay in False Bay. The visibility wasn't amazing, but there was plenty of life on the reef. I managed to land my very first Jan Bruin, had a few close encounters with some Roman, and got completely outsmarted by one absolute monster! Spearfishing isn't always about coming home with a full float. Sometimes it's just about being in the ocean, slowing down, and appreciating what an incredible environment we get to experience.
