Sith Empire Shuts Down Jocasta Nu L9 Datacron (3v3) | GAC Archive

The new 3v3 GAC season is here, featuring the new generation of specialized Jedi Vanguard and Empire Datacrons. For my first counter test, I put the classic Sith Empire trio against a dangerous Kelleran Beq-led Jedi Vanguard defense featuring the new Level 9 Jocasta Nu Datacron. OFFENSE — SITH EMPIRE: • Darth Malgus • Darth Malak • Bastila Shan (Fallen) DATACRON: Stats: • +43.03% Health • +89.15% Defense • +56.6% Critical Damage Level 3 — Dark Side: The first time each Dark Side ally is defeated, the remaining Dark Side allies gain 15% Offense and 20 Speed (stacking) for the rest of the encounter. This mechanic actually mattered in the battle. Bastila Shan (Fallen) was defeated, activating the Level 3 bonus and giving the surviving Darth Malgus and Darth Malak +15% Offense and +20 Speed for the remainder of the fight. DEFENSE — JEDI VANGUARD: • Kelleran Beq • Temple Guard • Jocasta Nu (Datacron) DATACRON: Stats: • +7.29% Health • +133.76% Critical Damage • +5.45% Armor Penetration Level 3 — Light Side: At the start of the encounter, the weakest ally gains 20% Turn Meter for every Light Side ally. Level 6 — Jedi Vanguard: At the start of their first turn, Jedi Vanguard allies gain Offense equal to 400% of their current Defense until the end of battle. They then lose 50% Defense until the end of battle. Level 9 — Jocasta Nu: Whenever an enemy takes a turn, Jocasta Nu takes a bonus turn. During this bonus turn, Jocasta Nu deals 100% more damage. This bonus turn cannot trigger this effect on enemies. This combination makes the new Jedi Vanguard Datacron extremely dangerous in 3v3. The Level 3 mechanic provides an immediate Turn Meter advantage, Level 6 converts the Jedi Vanguard's Defense into a massive offensive boost, and Jocasta's Level 9 allows her to answer enemy turns with additional bonus turns dealing increased damage. Add +133.76% Critical Damage from the Datacron stats, and this becomes a serious offensive threat even while sitting on defense. Instead of using another new specialized Datacron to answer it, I tested Darth Malgus, Darth Malak and Bastila Shan (Fallen) with a high-bulk Datacron. Bastila was lost during the battle — but that also triggered my Dark Side Level 3 mechanic, strengthening Malgus and Malak with additional Offense and Speed. Malgus and Malak survived and finished the job. One successful test doesn't make this a guaranteed counter, but it shows that the classic Sith Empire trio can be a viable option against the new Jocasta Nu L9 Jedi Vanguard setup in 3v3.
