I Went Off Trail and Found Climbing gear

I started this hiking trip early in the morning in the Austrian Alps. I parked near Grüner See and followed a forest trail that led me to some interesting cabins hidden in the mountains. At first, I could hardly find the trail because parts of it were almost invisible and looked more like a path made by animals. After checking the map, I saw that the trail was correct, so I decided to continue my solo hiking adventure. The beginning of the hike was quite easy, with only a small elevation gain. Later, the trail became more difficult and led across narrow paths on steep slopes with deep drops next to the trail. During the hike, I saw a group of wild goats. When they noticed me, they completely froze and did not want to move. After I continued walking, they finally went their own way. It was a really nice moment and one of the highlights of the day. Most of the trail was easy to follow, but in some places it was difficult to find the correct route. I went off the trail a few times, but honestly I am happy about it because I discovered places I would never have seen otherwise. After some time, the trail started to feel too exposed, so I checked the map again. Then I realized I had to go back because the correct route was leading another way. After climbing a steep hill, I reached the first viewpoint and continued toward the next peak. When I arrived there, the weather changed very quickly. It started raining and snowing at the same time. I started thinking if it still made sense to continue toward the summit of Pribitz, especially because I started the hike later than planned. I had parked at the wrong parking area, which was more than 4 kilometers away from the real trail entrance. After thinking about it for a short time, I decided to end the hike and return to the car. In the end, it was the right decision. When I got lower, the weather became even worse and the mountains were covered in thick fog, so I probably would not see anything from the top anyway. Even though I did not reach the summit this time, it was still an amazing experience hiking in Austria.
