Wepre Parkrun

event 447 - 04/07/2026 - Happy 4th of July I ran Wepre Parkrun in 23:47 and finished 8th. I did my best. This run is incredible!!! It has two separate hills that will make the runner (the unassuming victim) feel that is it two different running events altogether. Never underestimate a 5k. At the beginning I was comparing Wepre Angina Hill to the Heaton's Angina Hill... this one is harder. Check it out if you want a friendly challenge. I just wanted to get out of the North-West, it has been a full on week... my sleep, my anxiety, and my mental health is running wild... it is settling down now. This is definitely worth the drive from England, the volunteers are fantastic, the park users are warm and nice and the runners are really good, like beyond normal good... I daresay they are great. This Park is very dog friendly, the dog walkers even let me throw the ball. There is ample of parking and it is free (at the moment) the machines are there but they are not in use... so next time I come they might charge. #parkrun #WeWantKairi
