Riding the 25th Pumpkinvine Classic! | Biking Amish Country Indiana

Come along with us as we ride one of our absolute favorite rail-trails in all of Indiana: the scenic Pumpkinvine Nature Trail! In this video, we participate in the 25th annual Pumpkinvine Classic out of Middlebury, Indiana. While the event offers several route lengths, we chose the 36-mile option that traverses the entire length of the trail in both directions—riding through the heart of northern Indiana's Amish country between Goshen, Middlebury, and Shipshewana. Starting and finishing at the iconic Das Dutchman Essenhaus, this ride is an annual favorite of ours for good reason: smooth paved trail, quiet farmland corridors, horse-and-buggy crossings, and—Scott’s personal favorite part—the hearty, authentic Amish meal waiting at the finish line.
