This tribute remembers Father Bolmax Pereira, parish priest of Chicalim, and Goa's environmental warrior son — the priest who stood fearlessly beside people, forests, rivers and future generations. From Save Mollem to the fight for Mhadei, Father Bolmax became one of Goa’s strongest moral voices against destructive development and ecological destruction. Chairman of the Diocesan Commission on Ecology, mentor to youth farmers, professor, activist and spiritual guide — he believed protecting nature was not separate from faith. It was faith itself. This BULLS EYE traces his role in the Save Mollem movement, his fight against coal expansion and ecological damage, his work with Goa’s youth, and his dream of preserving Goa’s land, culture and identity for generations to come. As church bells ring in mourning, the forests of Mollem still stand. The waters of Mhadei still flow. And the fire he lit in Goa’s youth still burns. Father Bolmax Pereira may have passed away. But his fight for Goa lives on
